design & front-end development

This website has existed for years, but I redesigned it one piece at a time to give it a more modern aesthetic and create an easier browsing and checkout experience. Ninety percent of the CSS and rails layout/view code was written by me, and I worked with a project manager and backend developer for everything else.

I also wrote a large portion of the Rails views and individual component CSS.

freelance design & custom Squarespace theme development

I worked with Gina to design a custom Squarespace template for her new website in Sketch App. Then I built it using Squarespace’s developer tools. I created custom post types, allowing her to easily add the title, date, medium, and dimensions to each artwork.

Roman Numerals Converter

algorithm design

This is a JavaScript algorithm to convert Arabic numerals to Roman numerals using a sawtooth wave and a step function. The algorithm is over-engineered because it was a self exercise in creating a mathematical model of the Roman numeral number system rather than a simple mapping. I wrote a blog article about it.
